Our studio was honored with the Best Leisure Architecture Europe award for ROOK Cafe delicatessen, establishing us to this day as the only architectural practice in Greece to ever capture the top European spot in this highly competitive category.
Located in Trikala—the vibrant regional capital and gateway to the historic, sacred rocks of Meteora (a UNESCO World Heritage site)—the project presented a multi-layered architectural challenge.
Beyond creating a contemporary commercial and culinary landmark within the urban fabric, the design required navigating the profound historical weight of the site. A defining milestone of the project was the meticulous restoration of the site's subterranean walls.
By seamlessly bridging ancient heritage with state-of-the-art hospitality design, we preserved the authentic historical stratification of the building while giving it a visionary new purpose.
