PARION OPUS | SYNTHESIS OF PARIAN HOSPITALITY
Awarded at the prestigious International Property Awards as a Winner for Hotel Interior Greece 2022, Parion Opus transformed an abandoned concrete structure—originally intended as a summer residence—into an award-winning boutique hospitality destination, deeply nested within an authentic Parian neighborhood. Materiality and textural variety unfold through a modernist approach to architecture and interior design. Outside, a curated combination of semi-tropical flora and Mediterranean herbs allows the landscape architecture to introduce drama and a poetic interplay of light and shadow.
The laid-back yet sophisticated atmosphere of the six suites is defined by custom-crafted wooden structures and bespoke furniture with CLEAF Innovative Italian Surfaces. Advanced, innovative materials that ensure surface resilience, along with premium ceramic slabs for wall cladding and flooring, reflect BllendDesignOffice core methodology: promoting absolute homogeneity and spatial flow through an expertly curated material palette.
Every suite extends into a private terrace featuring stone jacuzzis and teak daybeds, creating a seamless, floating effect above the water. At night, the setting turns architectural and theatrical. Strategic linear LED lighting enables the furniture volumes to hover above the floors, while a warm 3000K lighting temperature establishes a contemporary, welcoming ambiance.
The building's minimalist white entrance is completely abstract and linear, contrasting sharply with the black basaltic pool volume. A striking fire pit crowns the pool structure, beautifully juxtaposing the warmth of fire against the coolness of water. Nearby, the pool deck pergola features shaded daybeds and an open-air lounge, inviting guests to unwind and savor culinary creations crafted from organic, locally sourced Greek ingredients
