Sculpting Serenity: The Simmons Concept Store

The Brief

The challenge was to design a flagship store for the iconic luxury bedding brand, Simmons, that transcends the typical showroom environment. The client envisioned an immersive space focused on wellness and the sensory experience of rest, translating the brand's heritage of engineering premium sleep into a tangible architectural identity

The Concept

Inspired by the transition from wakefulness to deep sleep, the design concept utilizes fluid geometries, soft monolithic forms, and an ultra-calm atmospheric lighting scheme. The interior is structured as a series of private, micro-architectural sanctuaries where visitors can experience the products in absolute tranquility. Warm, tactile fabrics, acoustic wallpaper paneling, and subtle earthy tones shield the space from the bustling urban exterior of Athens, creating an oasis of pure comfort. Dropped illuminated ceiling paper by PROCEDES CHENEL, act as a light airy cloud hinting the notion of light sleep

The Outcome

The final space is an elegant, experiential flagship store that treats luxury bedding as an art form. By balancing high-end minimalism with precise acoustic and lighting design, the interior successfully embodies the physics of perfect rest—proving that exceptional architecture can, indeed, evoke a state of total peace.
