Urban Riviera Living: The Radical Renovation of a 124 sq.m. Apartment in Palaio Faliro
The Design Philosophy
Situated in a peaceful neighborhood of Palaio Faliro, with privileged views overlooking a lush green park, our firm undertook the complete transformation of a 25-year-old apartment. The design objective was to redefine contemporary luxury living by seamlessly transferring the innovation, elegance, and aesthetic identity of the premium new-builds on the Athens Riviera into an existing residential framework
Architectural Layout & The Spa Experience
The 124 sq.m. first-floor apartment was entirely reconfigured to offer an elevated living experience. The new layout features three spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms. Special emphasis was placed on the master bedroom, which functions as a private wellness zone, integrating a two-person jacuzzi that brings spa-like comfort to the daily relaxation routine

Surfaces & Coverings: Premium Italian porcelain slabs by Laminam were utilized in the living areas and bathrooms, ensuring a high-end aesthetic and ultimate durability

Wooden Flooring & Insulation: German engineered wooden floors in a light oak hue flow through the main areas, while a sophisticated chevron white-washed pattern was selected for two of the bedrooms. Since the apartment sits directly above the building's pilotis—which accommodates two spacious parking lots—a specialized acoustic and thermal insulation study was implemented under the floors to ensure absolute thermal comfort and quiet

Bespoke Doors & Custom Joinery: Wardrobes and all wooden installations are entirely tailor-made, utilizing innovative Cleaf materials and ergonomic Italian design principles. This design philosophy is perfectly completed by the internal custom doors. Crafted by the pioneering GOLDEN DOOR, these bespoke flush doors combine Cleaf surfaces with minimal lines to offer seamless aesthetic continuity throughout the space

Light & Atmosphere: Linear LED lighting pairs harmoniously with high-tech Vecta stretch ceilings in soft ivory, beautifully accentuating the earthy, premium palette of the Bauwerk (Germany) natural limestone wall finish
The Outcome
The completed project stands as a model for urban residential renewalth that upgrades the standards of the existing residential building stock.
